Yolonda Davis, an office manager at McCluer North High School, is the Ferguson-Florissant School District\u2019s 2017 Support Staff Employee of the Year.<\/p>\n

\u201cMs. Davis is the lifeline of McCluer North High School.\u00a0 When people need to know something, she is the first person they ask,\u201d said Andrew Croley, principal of McCluer North.<\/p>\n

\u201cI truly trust and depend on her throughout each and every day.\u00a0 When I entered this role two years ago, it only took me about an hour to recognize that I was blessed to work with a great office manager.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis has served as the school\u2019s office manager for four years.\u00a0 She has built positive relationships with the many staff, students and parents who are associated with McCluer North. She says she considers her role as one of \u201cservant leadership\u201d.\u00a0 \u201cI don\u2019t believe in asking anyone to do anything that I wouldn\u2019t do,\u201d said Davis.<\/p>\n

When it was decided to institute a school spirit award, Davis was the first to receive it.<\/p>\n

\u201cMs. Davis was very deserving of the spirit award,\u201d said Jen Meitz, a Spanish teacher at McCluer North and the person who nominated her for the award.\u00a0 \u201cShe cares about the students and the school and works hard to serve both.\u00a0 She solves problems.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
