The Atonement Lutheran School Eagles\u2019 seventh and eighth grade boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 basketball teams had an unprecedented basketball season. Both teams qualified to play in the Lutheran Basketball Association of America\u2019s (LBAA) National Tournament March 23-26 in Indiana.<\/p>\n

The boys\u2019 team won both the St. Louis Lutheran Middle Schools City Championship and Missouri\u2019s Lutheran Middle Schools State Championship in Jefferson City.<\/p>\n

The team then advanced to the LBAA at Valparaiso University in Indiana. The boys\u2019 team under Coach Harold Williams won two games and ended their journey in the elite eight.<\/p>\n

The girls\u2019 team coached by Andre Blakemore had an undefeated regular season. They went on to win the St. Louis Lutheran Middle Schools City Championship. They lost a heart breaking overtime game to CCLS in Jefferson City at the Missouri Lutheran Middle Schools State Championship bringing home the second place trophy.<\/p>\n

They also qualified to the LBAA at Valparaiso University but lost in the second round thus advancing to the consolation round. The Lady Eagles then became unstoppable, won all remaining games, and triumphed to win the consolation trophy.<\/p>\n
