{"id":16233,"date":"2016-08-19T11:10:37","date_gmt":"2016-08-19T17:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.flovalleynews.com\/?p=16233"},"modified":"2016-08-19T11:10:37","modified_gmt":"2016-08-19T17:10:37","slug":"florissant-community-development-block-grant-funds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flovalleynews.com\/?p=16233","title":{"rendered":"Florissant Community Development Block Grant Funds"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Florissant to Request Release of Community Development Block Grant Funds in Sept.<\/h1>\n<p>The City of Florissant will request the release of 2016 CDBG funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on September 2, following a two-week period in which the public will have the opportunity to comment on the slated use of the funds.<\/p>\n<p>The Florissant 2016 CDBG Annual Action Plan identifies community needs and has been proposed for the following projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Home Improvement loans to eligible, low to moderate-income households throughout Florissant.<\/li>\n<li>Home Improvement \u2013 Mechanical grants for the repair\/replacement of HVAC and\/or water heaters to eligible, low to moderate-income households throughout Florissant.<\/li>\n<li>COPS program assistance with wheelchair ramps and materials and supplies for homes being rehabbed by volunteers for low to moderate-income eligible or disabled residents.<\/li>\n<li>Mortgage, Rental, and Utility Assistance &#8211; The City will issue an RFQ to local service providers to start a mortgage, rental, and utility assistance program to serve low to moderate income households facing emergency or severe temporary economic hardship.<\/li>\n<li>Public Service Agency Assistance to reimburse eligible public service agencies throughout Florissant.<\/li>\n<li>Program Administration \u2013 providing for the salary, benefits and training of the CDBG program administrators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Written comments on these determinations may be directed to the Community Development Office at the Florissant Government Building, 1055 rue St. Francois, MO 63031, or to Dee Ann Ducote, U.S. Housing and Urban Development, Community Planning and Development Division, 1222 Spruce Street, Room 3.207, St. Louis, MO 63103-2836.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florissant to Request Release of Community Development Block Grant Funds in Sept.
