Florissant Okays Catering\u00a0<\/strong>Business That<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Florissant City Council had two public hearings scheduled for its meeting last week, but postponed one. The postponed hearing was about rezoning some properties from one business\/commercial zoning class to another.<\/p>\n

The hearing that was held was a request for a special use permit to Signature Sandwich Co. to allow for the operation of a sit-down, carry-out restaurant at the property at 430 Howdershell Rd. Max\u2019s Meats has offered sandwiches for several years. This permit will put them in compliance with city code.<\/p>\n

The council also passed several bills. They passed a bill allowing changes to a previous bill allowing additions to the Phillips 66 at 2020 Patterson Rd. Work is already underway.<\/p>\n

The council also passed a bill granting a special use permit to Tastebuds Catering for a catering business at 1A Mullanphy Gardens Shopping Center. The location will provide catering and there will be a restaurant. When the plan for the business was originally presented to the council, it was for an internet caf\u00e9 and teen center. After alot of concerns by council members about operating a teen center there, the owner scaled down plans to a restaurant.<\/p>\n

The council also passed a bill that appropriates $35,000 to help fund the Nov. 3 election. This money will go to the St. Louis County Board of Election to pay for the election itself.\u00a0\u00a0 The bill was sponsored by the council as a whole.<\/p>\n

The council also held first readings on two bills that make changes to some of the business zoning districts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
