Commander Jeremy Ihler to the position of Chief of Police for the city\u00a0of Bellefontaine Neighbors. Ihler replaces Chief Robert Pruett, who retired\u00a0\u00a0 after 51 years in law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Ihler has over 20 years of law enforcement experience, including 12 years in leadership and management. His education includes a Masters in Business Administration, Graduate Certificate in Achievement, and a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Management. In addition he is completing a Masters degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Ihler\u2019s record in Bellefontaine Neighbors includes being the first police officer in Bellefontaine Neighbors to be appointed to the Federal Bureau of Investigation\u2019s&#8211;National Academy, and the first Bellefontaine Neighbors police officer to be appointed to the Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation\u2019s Executive Command College.
