McCoy Earns UMSL Distinguished Alumni Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>   Art McCoy, Ferguson-Florissant School District\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education, has received the 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Missouri \u00e2\u20ac\u201c St. Louis.<\/p>\n<p>     The award is bestowed on UMSL alumni who have achieved notable distinction in their careers or have made significant contributions to UMSL or the community.<\/p>\n<p>   McCoy earned a master\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s degree in education in 1999 and a Ph.D. in education in 2002 from the university.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8220;My goal is to serve in ways that improve the lives of others,&#8221; McCoy said. <\/p>\n<p>   Added Ferguson-Florissant Superintendent Jeffrey R.
