Ballpark Village is joining with the Alzheimer\u2019s Association St. Louis Chapter to honor patients and their caregivers through a Longest Day Celebration Saturday, June 20 from noon to midnight. The Longest Day is a nationwide effort where teams complete a day filled with activity to raise funds and awareness for the efforts of the Alzheimer\u2019s Association.\u00a0\u00a0 Ballpark Village\u2019s team \u201cVillage People\u201d will host several activities on the Busch II Infield throughout the day.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to partner with Ballpark Village to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those living with Alzheimer\u2019s disease and their caregivers,\u201d said Stacy Tew-Lovasz, president\/CEO of the Alzheimer\u2019s Association St. Louis Chapter. \u201cAlzheimer\u2019s touches the lives of thousands of families in our community. Those families make heroic sacrifices to care for their loved ones as they battle this devastating disease.\u201d<\/p>\n
The celebration is family friendly and includes yoga, Zumba, lawn games and more. Patrons inside Ballpark Village in Fox Sports Midwest Live! can make donations during their visit. KMOX\u2019s Mike Claiborne will host and judge a Cardinals Spirit Contest, awarding participants who have the best Cardinals gear two tickets to an upcoming Cardinals game.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you get to choose your own activity and way of honoring caregivers, you tend to be more energized and have a lot of fun. This is a new and exciting way to raise awareness and connect more people to the vital support, education, information and 24\/7 Helpline available,\u201d said Tew-Lovasz.<\/p>\n
