The center offers advanced therapies to patients suffering from chronic wounds. It has achieved an average patient satisfaction rate of 96 percent, with 93 percent of patient wounds healed within 36 days or less.<\/p>\n<p>An estimated 6.7 million people in the United States have chronic wounds and the incidence is rising. Contributing factors include an aging population and increasing rates of diseases and conditions such as diabetes, obesity and the late effects of radiation therapy. Untreated, chronic wounds can diminish the quality of life and possibly require amputation of the affected limb.<\/p>\n<p>People whose wounds do not improve with traditional methods of treatment may benefit from a visit to the Christian Hospital Wound Care &amp; Hyperbarics Center.
