On Monday. May 11, the Florissant City Council approved funds for police motorcycles and approved expansion for Johnny Londoff and renovations for New York Grill.<\/p>\n
The council passed a bill that would use $29,000 in asset forfeiture funds to purchase patrol motorcycles for the police department.<\/p>\n
Mayor Tom Schneider thanked the council for passing the bill. \u201cThe chief and I feel that this will add a needed element to out police department. It will allow us to patrol places that we might not have been able to patrol easily with a car,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
A bill authorizing Johnny Londoff Chevrolet to open an auto repair facility for the property at 4580 Washington St. was approved. The dealer has acquired the property, which is a residence most recently used as an insurance office. The dealer will tear down the residence and build an auto repair facility.<\/p>\n
The council approved amending a special use permit for New York Grill to allow for renovations to the restaurant at 41 Flower Valley Shopping Center. The restaurant is expanding in to the space next door, which it will use for storage.<\/p>\n
