A task force is being formed in the Ferguson-Florissant School District to consider what the focus will be for a proposed $20 million bond issue that will be sought in the district next April.<\/p>\n
The board of education last week announced plans to submit the ballot issue following discussion with staff members. Board secretary Paul Morris said no new tax would be part of this ballot issue, but present debt service tax levies would be extended.<\/p>\n
The bond would be used for building needs and would be focused on general facility needs, energy savings and technology. said<\/p>\n
Voters in August approved a 50-cent property tax levy that will increase property taxes to $5.54 from the 2013 levy of $5.04 per $100 assessed valuation.<\/p>\n
