July<\/strong><\/p>\n Missouri Cameo Club<\/strong> Presents Ms. Missouri Senior America Pageant<\/strong><\/p>\n July 13 \u2013 2 p.m.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s theme is \u2018Puttin\u2019 on the Glitz\u2019 as the pageant celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Missouri Cameo Club.\u00a0 Lovely ladies will compete for the title of Ms. Missouri Senior America.\u00a0 The four areas of competition are a personal interview before the pageant, a talent presentation on stage, poise in an evening gown and her philosophy of life.<\/p>\n Admission is $15 in advance, $12 for groups of 10 or more; $17 at door<\/p>\n August<\/strong><\/p>\n Hawthorne Players Present\u00a0The Wiz<\/strong><\/p>\n Aug. 1, 2, 8, 9 at 8 p.m., Aug. 10 at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n The Wiz, a jazzed, soul-infused modern retelling of L. Frank Baum\u2019s \u201cThe Wonderful Wizard of Oz,\u201d was nominated for nine Drama Desk Awards (winning four including Outstanding Musical) and eight Tony Awards (winning seven including Best Original Score and Best Musical).\u00a0 The book by William F. The Miss America Scholarship Pageant is the largest scholarship provider for women in America. It’s provided over 45 million dollars in scholarships annually.
