The Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Division kiked\u00a0 off its 2014 Summer Concert Series at Harry S. Truman Park, 7029 Howdershell Road, with the Americana sounds of Lucky Old Sons on Saturday, May 31.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n
\n

The Lucky Old Sons is a four-piece band focused on the piano-driven rock and country music of the 1950s and 1960s The band members included Matt Davis, piano\/vocals, Frank Bauer, tenor saxophone, Corey Woodruff, drums, and Steve Bauer, electric mandolin\/vocals.\u00a0 One of them is a Hazelwood resident, bringing a hometown flavor to the City\u2019s opening act of this year\u2019s summer concerts.<\/p>\n

Truman Park offers a beautiful setting with a luscious green hillside in front of a newly built gazebo.\u00a0 A pond and water fountain provide a relaxing back drop.\u00a0 Audience members are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments.\u00a0 However, no glass containers are allowed.<\/p>\n

Parking space is available.<\/p>\n

Residents living near the park are encouraged to walk over and enjoy this free outdoor entertainment.\u00a0 In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Hazelwood Community Center, 1186 Teson Road, in White Birch Park.<\/p>\n
