The 2014 Festival marks Pat Stinnett\u2019s second year as chair of the event. Stinnett said he expects this year to be better than last.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Stinnett noted that last year was cold and rainy, \u201cso at least the weather can\u2019t be worse than last year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe second year, you know what you\u2019ve gotten into,\u201d he said. \u201cYou are surrounded by a lot of good people who have been there for a number of years.\u201d Stinnett said the many volunteers and the festival committee make the festival run as smoothly as it does.<\/p>\n

Stinnett said one thing he was very excited about this year was the Zoppe circus. They have eight performances scheduled, including two performances the Thursday and Friday for school kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

The circus will set up its tent on the Eagan Center grounds. \u201cThere are probably a lot of children who have never been to a circus,\u201d Stinnett said, so this will be a first for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe credit for this goes to Gary Gaydos, the Civic Center Theatre Director,\u201d said Stinnett. \u201cHe has really gotten out there to find great shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stinnett also said that the petting zoo and pony rides, which were new last year, will be returning this year.<\/p>\n

Stinnett also said he was happy about the theme of the festival this year. He said the festival committee was keeping the identity of the parade marshall a secret. \u201cWe have a\u00a0 unique parade marshall who will go with the theme of the festival.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
