Issues Phone Scam Warning \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Florissant Police Department has received inquiries after reports that an individual identifying himself as a police officer has been calling Florissant residents demanding that they call him back right away. After Florissant police officers called the phone number back, it was discovered that the number was disconnected.<\/p>\n<p>An inquiry revealed that people all over the country are receiving similar calls from the phone number, (716) 242-7149. Other callers from this number have told people that they are from the IRS, and they were requesting money.<\/p>\n<p>The Florissant Police Department urges people to be aware of such activity, and to never provide personal information over the phone or send money without verifying the identity of the caller.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florissant Police Dept.
