These singing attorneys\u00a0 poke fun at national and local events\u00a0 taken from the headlines.<\/p>\n<p>The Courthouse Steps will be at the Florissant Civic Center located at Parker Rd. and Waterford\u00a0 Drive, Sunday, Feb. 9, at 2: p.m.\u00a0 Tickets are $28 for adults and $26 for seniors and students.\u00a0 Group rates are available also.\u00a0 Call the box office at 314-921-5678 for tickets and information or\u00a0 go online at www.florissantfinearts.com.<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated to the venerable legal principle of equal opportunity jabs, The\u00a0 Courthouse Steps features parodies that cover both sides of the political fence.<\/p>\n<p>Their material is\u00a0 continually updated as the political, national and local climates warrant.\u00a0\u00a0 The group has\u00a0 been performing since 1997, under the direction of co-founder Ray Fournie, a senior\u00a0 partner in the law firm of Armstrong Teasdale. \u00a0Diane Hanisch is an accomplished pianist, and the\u00a0 only truly professional musician in the group<\/p>\n<p>Julie Fix Meyer is the general manager of\u00a0 The Courthouse Steps\u00a0 (a\/k\/a prop mistress, den mother, social director and general dogsbody) Julie is a Senior Law Clerk.\u00a0 Stephen Meyerkord, is the founding partner of Meyerkord and Meyerkord.
