\"\"<\/a>The Dining Divas<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is this?\u00a0 A meat market?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2019s what the Colorful Diva first said when she joined the rest of the Dining Divas for our dinner outing last month.<\/p>\n

Why? Because everywhere you looked, women were accessorized (and probably not with costume jewelry) and the men were put together nicely, and the bar was overflowing with young professionals, on a weeknight?<\/p>\n

We felt like we were in West County.\u00a0 But no, it was St. Charles.\u00a0 And it was great!<\/p>\n

You\u2019d never expect \u201cNoah\u2019s Ark\u201d to become such a hot spot, but that\u2019s exactly what it is.\u00a0 The Dining Divas had dinner together at Prasino\u2019s, a new restaurant in the development that was formerly the home to Noah and all his pets.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Great weather allowed the windows and doors of the bar to be opened freely into an outdoor patio.\u00a0 A sea of red was there to support the Cardinals who were in the Playoffs that night.<\/p>\n

Our group was seated in the main dining area.\u00a0 Fortunately for a few of us, we could see a portion of one TV monitor in the bar showing the Cardinal game and a backwards reflection of another TV monitor showing the Blues game.\u00a0 And with the multitude of texts and mobile app updates, we were following along nicely.\u00a0 Which was something several of us couldn\u2019t do with the conversations going on at our table.<\/p>\n

We had plenty of room at our table for our bigger group, but Prasino\u2019s is another one of those restaurants with high-exposed ceilings that make it hard to hear each other if you\u2019re in a big group.\u00a0\u00a0 That would be the only negative I\u2019d say about the place that night.\u00a0 I feared our service would be bad.\u00a0 I\u2019d heard stories.\u00a0 I worried the food would disappoint.\u00a0 Some Divas prefer \u201cnormal,\u201d and I wasn\u2019t sure if Prasino\u2019s was \u201cnormal\u201d enough.\u00a0\u00a0 I was concerned it\u2019d be too crowded.\u00a0 The place is popular.<\/p>\n

But it was all good.\u00a0 Great actually.<\/p>\n

First, our waiter was fantastic.\u00a0 He was patient with our indecisiveness and our delay in ordering.\u00a0 You can always count on the Tardy Diva being late.\u00a0 He was such a descriptive salesman as he shared the menu items so creatively.\u00a0 The Picky Diva walked in hoping to find something she\u2019d like, and she walked out with so many more things she\u2019d like to come back to try.\u00a0 And he was attentive.\u00a0 With a group our size, and with us being the Divas, he had his hands full, but he was a pro.<\/p>\n

For a small menu, the variety was great.\u00a0 As a starter, the Adventurous Divas shared the Killer Dragon Sushi Roll.\u00a0 According to them, fish-fans or not, you\u2019ll love them.\u00a0 The sauce makes the difference.\u00a0 The Daughter Diva tried the Turkey Burger served with truffle potatoes, and as a repeat customer, she was thrilled with her dining experience.\u00a0\u00a0 The Freshman Diva tried the Short Rib tacos.\u00a0 There were four tacos stuffed with shredded short rib meat, pico de gallo, avocados, and cheese.\u00a0 Three was more than enough!<\/p>\n

The most popular item ordered was the Barbecued Pork Steak.\u00a0 Two days of preparation, and vacuum-packed in goodness definitely is the way to go.\u00a0 It was tender, juicy, and full of flavor.\u00a0 Served with a jalapeno cheddar biscuit and a side of your choice, everyone loved it.<\/p>\n

As for dessert, we were celebrating a couple birthdays so that was reason enough to order dessert.\u00a0 Even though a \u201cGet a Birthday dessert for FREE\u201d sign was displayed on the bathroom wall, they still initially charged us.\u00a0 But once we brought it to our waiter\u2019s attention, he took care of it.<\/p>\n

This night, the Cardinals, the Blues, and Prasino\u2019s restaurant were winners.\u00a0 And the Dining Divas were glad to be a part of it.<\/p>\n
