Soroptimist International of Greater St. Louis held its annual fashion show and luncheon on Sat., Nov. 2 at Orlando Gardens in Maryland Heights. \u00a0This year’s event, “40 Years of Fashion,” celebrated the 40th anniversary of the founding of the club in North County.<\/p>\n

The Elenor Bergfeld Scholarship was presented for the first time. \u00a0Elenor Bergfeld was a Soroptimist member for more than 30 years and bequeathed $25,000 to the club upon her recent\u00a0\u00a0death. \u00a0A scholarship fund was established with the money and one deserving woman will receive a scholarship each year.<\/p>\n

Kelsey Sites, a junior at Maryville University majoring in Physical Therapy, received this year’s $2,500 award.<\/p>\n

Fashions from Michelle’s in St. Charles were modeled by Soroptimist members and their friends and relatives. \u00a0More than 325 women attended the event.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
