Dozens of vintage automobiles, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles will be on display when the 12th annual EPC Classic Carfest is held on Saturday, Oct. 12 on EPC\u2019s 10-acre parking lot at 3941 Truman Blvd, I-70 and Cave Springs in St. Charles.<\/p>\n
All proceeds from the day-long, family-oriented event will benefit the St. Charles County-based Maggie Welby Foundation.\u00a0 The Classic Carfest is free.<\/p>\n
Pre-registration for all vehicles is open now at\u00a0 www.classiccarfest.com. Registration, which is limited to the first 300 vehicles, is $20 per show vehicle. Registration also can be done on the day of the event from 8 a.m. to noon, depending on availability of openings.<\/p>\n
A total of 30 proposed classes of vehicles will be represented, including stock and modified versions of cars, trucks, street rods, pro-streets and T-buckets, motorcycles, muscle cars, daily drivers, Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, imports and special interest vehicles.\u00a0 Photos from previous Classic Carfests are featured at the web site www.classiccarfest.com.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Classic Carfest has grown to become one of the most popular, family-friendly events in St. Charles,\u201d said Dan Fuller, founder and president of EPC.\u00a0 \u201cThanks to the thousands of participants and spectators at our first 11 events, we\u2019ve been able to raise more than $115,000 for St. Charles-based charities.\u201d<\/p>\n
Inspired by the life and memory of Maggie Welby, the Maggie Welby Foundation seeks to aid students in grades K-12 and families in financial need in order to help fulfill the dreams and hopes that Maggie realized in every person she touched during her life.<\/p>\n
Maggie Welby was a vibrant, loving, 7-year-old girl who died in 2005 of a brainstem subependymoma.\u00a0 Her family and friends created the Maggie Welby Foundation memorial fund so that her memory would continue to make an impact in the lives of children, providing financial assistance for children in need, families in need and organizations benefiting children.\u00a0 More information about the foundation, which is located in Dardenne Prairie in St. Charles County, is available at www.maggiewelby.org or by calling 314-330-6947.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
