Highway 67 in Florissant, will host a six-week \u201cBeginners Soccer\u201d clinic for boys and girls ages 3 \u2013 6 starting on Saturday, Sept. 7.\u00a0 Each session will be one hour long with personalized instruction for every child, as well as controlled scrimmages where they can apply their newly-learned soccer skills.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Emphasis will be placed on basic soccer skills including dribbling, passing, shooting and team play.\u00a0 Every child will receive individual and group instruction, and will be encouraged to advance at his\/her personal pace.\u00a0 Each child will also receive a free \u201cRiver\u2019s Edge Soccer\u201d\u00a0 tee-shirt.<\/p>\n<p>At this age, children need clear direction, useful feedback and lots of positive reinforcement, and that is what they will receive at this clinic, said manager Doug Hartman.\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cThe focus will be on what the child is doing right, not what he\/she did wrong.\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is limited, so reserve a spot for your child now before the class is full.
