Mayor Tom Schneider and Council President Keith Schildroth welcomed the competitors and thanked the St. Louis Disc Golf Club for their partnership with the City to organize the inaugural tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Schneider thanked the City Council for embracing the concept of developing the \u201cBellerive\u201d of disc golf courses in the 52 acre Dunegant Park. David McCormick designed Florissant Dunegant Disc Golf course \u00a0now officially open and threw the ceremonial first disc making a bogey 4 on the Par 3 first hole.<\/p>\n<p>Disc Golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
