Florissant homeowners who would like to apply for Florissant\u2019s Home Improvement\u00a0Program can learn about the resources that are available, what qualifications are needed and how to fill out an application.\u00a0 The seminar will be held at the Florissant Government Building on Thursday, May 2.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Florissant\u2019s Community Development\u00a0Block Grant (CDBG) office provides no-interest loans of up to $5,000 to a limited number of low-to-moderate income Florissant homeowners who qualify. The loans can only be used for home repair and to address code violations.<\/p>\n

Loan applications are available for pickup\u00a0or on the City website. <\/strong>Completed applications will be accepted during regular business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) at the Government Building Wednesday, May 1, through 5 p.m. Friday, May 31.<\/p>\n

Applications are reviewed by\u00a0 Florissant\u2019s\u00a0Community Development Office and\u00a0priority is given to low-income households. If funds remain after eligible low-income applications are met, candidates from moderate-income housing will be considered. All applicants will be notified of their status within 6 to 8 weeks.<\/p>\n
