She has spent the past two-and-a-half years as a middle school assistant principal, serving at both Hazelwood East Middle School and Hazelwood Southeast Middle School. She previously taught middle school social studies at Cross Keys Middle School in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. She also served three years as social studies department chairperson.<\/p>\n<p>Chambers also worked in the education field as a school\u00a0and community resource volunteer in the United States Peace Corps. She spent two years in Cassel Village, South Africa, where she conducted monthly workshops for teachers, evaluated and monitored the development of staff from three schools..<\/p>\n<p>She has a bachelor\u2019s degree in secondary education from\u00a0Arizona State University, and a master\u2019s degree in educational administration from Saint Louis University. She received her doctorate in educational administration from Lindenwood University.
